Counselling and Psychotherapy
Farsophone Counselling Service is piloted in partnership with NHS Barnet at Edgware Community Hospital. It is designed to offer an integrative counselling and psychotherapy service to FARSI (PERSIAN)-speaking individuals, families, couples, children and young people. Qualified practitioners and advanced trainees will provide Counselling and Psychotherapy within the BACP Ethical Framework for Good Practice and will be supervised by experienced, qualified supervisors. Referrals are accepted from individuals and through medical professionals and statutory and voluntary agencies by completing the referral form provided by the Counselling Service. The Counselling Manager will carry out a detailed psychological assessment, and where appropriate, counselling or psychotherapy will then be offered for a specific period, 12 to 18 sessions, subject to review. Please contact us for more information or to make a referral.
Update (1 April 2025):
Due to a high volume of referrals and a significant backlog on our waiting list, we are unfortunately unable to accept new referrals at this time.
This pause will initially remain in place until 30 September 2025, at which point we will review the situation. Depending on our capacity, we may extend this period further or reopen for new referrals at a later date.
We understand that this may be disappointing, and we sincerely appreciate your patience and understanding.
In the meantime, you may seek help from your GP.
Please feel free to check back with us after the review date for any updates.
